Genetic Alliance Australia invites you to their flagship community event — an evening to connect, reflect, and share the people, ideas, and progress shaping rare and genetic healthcare in Australia.
The 2026 Forum theme, “Stronger Together: Connection, Collaboration, Care,” focuses on the importance of strengthening connections across community, care, research, and policy.
While advances in genomics and research continue to evolve, many people living with rare and genetic conditions still experience fragmented care and uneven access to support. This year’s Forum brings together diverse perspectives to explore how we can work more effectively across sectors to improve diagnosis, care, and community.
A central feature of the evening will be the Community, Research and Advocacy Showcase, running throughout the event and highlighting community-led initiatives, research collaborations, and practical efforts to improve outcomes for people living with rare and genetic conditions.
Hosted by: The Hon. David Harris MP, Minister for Medical Research
Speakers:Hear from Lauren Geatches, Founder of BPTF Families and Meagan Cross Chair of FAST-Australia and the founder of the Global Angelman Syndrome Registry and more!
