About the Community

Connecting people, knowledge and experience

The Rare Diseases NSW Community of Practice brings together the collective expertise, experience and passion of people committed to improving outcomes for those living with rare conditions and their families.

Why it exists

Rare disease challenges cannot be addressed by one group working alone

  • Connect people working across rare disease care and research
  • Bring lived experience into shared learning
  • Reduce professional and organisational silos

The Community shares knowledge, experience and good practice in rare disease care and research, while creating opportunities for collaboration across New South Wales.

  • Share knowledge and practical experience
  • Learn from patients, families and professionals
  • Develop new connections and collaborations
